Through a partnership with the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities, particularly with VunArt, the Community Support program aims to provide students with the chance to engage with the disabled community for a specific duration, fostering understanding and bridging the gap in education inclusion and social justice. By participating in Community Support, students will have the opportunity to:
- Enroll as a volunteer to assist at an office serving disabled individuals for a period ranging from one week to three months, depending on individual registration.
- Engage in daily tasks and responsibilities just like a regular staff member within the office.
- Acquire essential communication, socialization, and understanding abilities when interacting with disabled individuals.
- Cultivate empathy, adaptability, social skills, creativity, and problem-solving skills through teamwork experiences.
- Recognize the significance of leading a meaningful life and actively contribute to supporting disadvantaged individuals in society, uniting efforts to drive positive changes.
Community Support encourages students to apply if they:
- Demonstrate a willingness to assist underprivileged communities.
- Exhibit a strong passion for initiating positive changes in their lives and the lives of others.
- Possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with fellow team members.
- Show aptitude for self-care and the ability to care for others within a team setting.
- Display adept social skills for establishing connections and networking with others.
- Exhibit a sense of responsibility, commitment, and dedication in their work.
Voluntary work students can support are:
- Provide assistance in operational and office-related tasks.
- Participate in supporting various activities, including product development, packing, marketing, and content writing.
- Contribute to writing content and creating social media posts and product videos.
- Collaborate in coordinating events and activities to some extent.
- Be ready to offer support in all aspects of work as needed, fulfilling the role of a dedicated staff member.
